(PatriotSpotlight.org) – The Turning Point Action campaign group says that almost 5 million “disengaged” Republican voters are the key to securing a GOP victory in this year’s Presidential election.
This Monday and Tuesday the group, the political advocacy arm of the conservative Turning Point USA (TPUSA) group, held its inaugural “ Restoring National Confidence” event in Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino January 29th-30th.
TPUSA executive director and co-founder Charlie Kirk told Breitbart News on Monday that the forthcoming Presidential election is a “turnout game”, adding that a Trump victory would count on the backing of Ohio, North Carolina and Iowa, three key swing states.
He also said Trump’s support in Iowa, Florida and Ohio was so certain that the former president should not campaign in these states. Kirk said Trump should focus his efforts on campaigning in Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin, which he won in 2016 but not 2020.
The conference could be perceived as a deliberate attempt to upstage this year’s forthcoming Republican National Committee (RNC) meeting, also set to take place in the glitzy Nevada metropolis Jan 30-Feb 3.
Kirk told the online magazine that the GOP are “outpacing Democrats 1.5 to one in voter registration,” suggesting that they could be headed for better turnout than in 2020.
“Look, it’s a turnout election. I believe that, and it comes down to: Can we really turn out another 50,000 to 60,000 more Republican voters?” he explained.
The conference provided GOP chairs in attendance with printed folders of information on their constituencies, focusing on who could be willing to vote for the GOP who did not vote in 2026 or 2020.
In 2020 Biden won over Trump by 33,596 votes in Nevada. TPUSA analysis claims that the Battleborn State has some 140,540 disengaged GOP voters, over four times the margin at the last presidential election.
TPAUSA also said they would be operating a mission to legally “ballot chase” in Wisconsin, Arizona, and Georgia, with the aim of increasing voter turnout among disengaged voters likely to vote Republican.
